New · AI visibility audit

When buyers ask AI for the best tool in your category, are you named?

We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini the questions your buyers ask, several times each, through their official APIs. You get a report showing how often you're named, who gets named instead, which websites the AI cites, and a prioritised list of what to fix.

One-time payment. Delivered as a PDF within 2 business days of your brief, with a re-check after 30 days. Results are measured ranges, not promises.

What you get

A plain-English PDF report, not a dashboard to learn. Every number shows how many answers it's based on.

Buyer questions

Up to 20 questions your buyers really ask ("best X for Y", "alternatives to Z", problem questions), agreed with you before the run. Each is asked 3 times per AI.

Visibility & share of voice

How often each AI names you, with a 95% range, your average position, and the same numbers for up to 3 competitors you choose.

Source gap

The websites the AI cites when it recommends a competitor but not you: directories, review sites, comparison articles and forums.

Fix list

A prioritised list of what to change, who owns it and how much effort it takes. A re-check after 30 days with the same questions shows what moved.

The four AIs we ask, and how

ChatGPT

OpenAI API with web search. Answers and cited sources.

Perplexity

Perplexity API with web search. Answers and cited sources.

Claude

Anthropic API with web search. Answers and cited sources.

Gemini model knowledge only

Google Gemini API without Google Search. Shows what the model itself knows about your category. No cited sources.

Optional, with your permission: a quick look at your public website (robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, llms.txt, sitemap, structured data on the homepage). We only read public pages, as a normal visitor would. No logins, no scans, no load testing.

What this audit is not
  • It's not a copy of what a specific person sees in the ChatGPT or Gemini app. Apps add personalisation, memory, location and different model versions. We use the official APIs, which are close to the apps but not identical.
  • It doesn't cover Google AI Overviews or Microsoft Copilot. Neither offers an official API for this, and we don't scrape consumer apps.
  • AI answers change from run to run and from week to week. That's why we ask every question several times and report ranges, not single numbers.
  • No promises about outcomes. We can't guarantee that any AI will mention or rank you after you make the fixes, and nobody honestly can.

Example report

This is an example made with simulated data for a fictional invoicing app ("Tallyfox") and fictional competitors. It shows the layout of a real report; none of the numbers are real measurements.

FAQ

Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my product?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee that. AI answers depend on the model, its version, the sources it finds that day and the person asking. We measure where you stand today, show you what the AI relies on, and suggest fixes. The 30-day re-check shows what changed, but changes aren't guaranteed.

Why are your numbers ranges?

The same question can get a different answer each time. We ask every question 3 times on every AI and report how often you were named, plus a statistical 95% range around that rate. With a small number of questions the range is wide, and we show that rather than hide it.

How do you get the answers? Do you use the ChatGPT app?

We use the official APIs from OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic and Google, under their terms. We don't automate or scrape consumer chat apps. API answers are close to what the apps show, but not identical: the apps add personalisation, memory, location and sometimes different model versions.

Why is Gemini marked "model knowledge only"?

Google's terms for Gemini's search-grounded answers don't allow us to collect and analyse the cited links. So we ask Gemini without Google Search. That shows what the model itself has learned about your category, and it's a useful signal, but there are no cited sources for Gemini in the report.

Do you cover Google AI Overviews or Microsoft Copilot?

Not at the moment. Neither has an official API for this kind of measurement, and we don't scrape them.

What do you need from me?

After you pay, a short brief: product name, website, a one-line description, up to 3 competitors, and your market and language. We send you the buyer questions to approve before the run, so the report measures what matters to you.

Do you touch my website or accounts?

No accounts or logins are needed. If you tick the box in the brief, we read a few public pages on your site (robots.txt, llms.txt, sitemap, homepage) as a normal visitor would. Without your permission we skip that part. We never scan, probe or load-test your systems.

Which data goes to the AI providers?

Only the buyer questions, which contain your product category and, for some questions, your product name or a competitor's name. We don't send personal data. The providers are listed in our privacy policy. We delete audit data 90 days after delivering the report.

Is the report written by AI?

The measurement and first draft are produced by software and AI models. A person checks every report before it goes out, and the fix list is reviewed against your actual answers.

What's your refund policy?

You get a full refund if you cancel before we run your audit. If we can't deliver the report within 5 business days of your complete brief, you can ask for a full refund. Once the report is delivered the work is done, so there are no refunds based on the results or on what the AI says later. Problems with an order? Email us and we'll make it right.
